The Story's collections can be accessed for free by visiting in person, either in Search and Discover or in the Collections Room.

Our fees for copying and other services are listed below.

Service Charge Details
Photography pass £15 per day Required for taking photographs of original documents in the Collections Room only. Any images taken are for personal research use only and must not be used in any publication, including social media.
Print out in Search and Discover only £1 per page For computer print outs in Search and Discover at The Story.
Digitisation/copying - under A2 size £9 per image

Size is the size of the origial item.

There may be an additional fee of £15 to provide an estimate for particularly large or difficult requests to account for staff time.

Quick search £9 per search Available for church registers and vehicle registration searches only. 
Certified copy upgrade £3.50 (in addition to £9 search fee) Certification of document copies for official purposes.
